It would be a good idea to either check the HBA1C to be a bit more certain, else just try and reduce your carbs as well as over all calorie intake to reduce the fasting sugars. Sir, I am 63 yrs. Last year I suffered from BP 170/110. I went to a Physician and as per his advice I am taking the tablets Nicardia 10mg 1 tablet alongwith Telista 20mg 1 tablet @ morning 9am and Nicardia 10mg 1 tablet at night 9pm. Now for the past three months my BP controlled 120/70 (OR) sometimes 110/70. Can I continue the same or to reduce the dose.

If you have even one more risk factor, it makes sense to take Aspirin and Statin, to maintain your LDL below 70. You have not mentioned your LDL. My total cholestrol is only 99 with HDL at 33 and LDL at 55 and the VLDL is 11. Trygliciride is also 66. Is low HDL a cause for concern even though total is very low. My levels has always been like this with maximum total being at 125.

I am an early 30 aged man. I have a public job which I can say is a descent one. I am married and have a kid. I can't say I am an alcoholic but in someway my happiness is associated with alcohol. My job requires me to travel a lot and on those days I can do without any drinks. But on my off days I tend to drink like half a bottle of whatever alcohol I desire and the only thing I can say about is I gain happiness from it. On rare occasions I am tipsy. I give my family time and carry out daily chores as usual while at home. On the downside, drinking has made be obese and somewhat ill. But I can't figure out if I want to drop alcohol or not. Because as I said I don't see addiction anywhere in my inclination to alcohol but I derive a strange kind of happiness from it. Can you analyze my situation and give some advice?

If we have high blood sugar. Then is it not good to avoid meal and go for fasting . To normalise sugar level. Because anti diabetic drug makes pancreas to release more insulin. Whereas body does not need so high sugar. So is it not better to first skip meal so that sugar becomes normal on its own. Because insulin release by drug stimulation is useless because thee is no requirement of excess sugar by the body. But doctors simply prescribe drug . MSCT SCAN OF KUB MSCT imaging was performed using submillimeter thin contiguous axial scan of KUB with oral and I.V. contrast. Coronal and sagittal Reformatted images were obtained. FINDINGS/OBSERVATIONS: Right kidney and ureter: RK measures :72 x 36 mm 4 mm sized calculus (800 HU) is noted in lower calyx of right kidney. Rightkidney shows moderate hydronephrosis with dilated upper ureter with presence of 11.5 x 7 mm sized calculus (1400hu) approximately 3.6 cm distal to the right PUJ. There is seen multiple cortical scarring and thinning of parenchyma involving the right kidney. No renal mass or other lesions. N Left kidney and ureter: LK measures :107x50 mm. No calculi. No hydronephrosis or hydroureter. No renal mass or other lesions. No urothelial lesions: No filling defect, dilation, stricture or wall thickening. Urinary bladder: Well distended. No evidence of calculi or obvious mass lesion. On post-contrast study, both the kidneys shows normal post-contrast enhancement and simultaneous excretion. IMPRESSION: 1. I understand your concern. Dry or chapped lips though usually not painful are expected to heal in a few days. Creams can only give temporary relief. The reason for your dry lips could be one of many. Dry weather or dehydration, for instance. Allergies, vitamin deficiency, hormonal imbalance or a mild infection.
A dermatologist (skin specialist) would be better qualified to diagnose and treat your condition.
Please consult a competent dermatologist. I'm sure your condition is treatable.

I am 60 years male and diabetic weighing 70/72 kg and height 5'7".I am on Rosuvastatin 10+Fenofibrate160, Eltroxin 125. and diabetic. My latest Blood Test report are as follows.1) Cholestorel 99, TGL 92,HDL 33. HbA1C 6.7, TSH 1.363. Even when the Chol,TGL level are well within range. I find my HDL is quite low. How do I increase it given my other lipid levels are within range? Thanking You

Adopt lifestyle modifications like following balanced diet including complex carbohydrates like whole grains (brown rice, quinoa, oats), legumes, and vegetables, healthy fats like avocados, nuts, and olive oil, lean proteins like fish, poultry, tofu, and beans. Avoid refined, sugary ,high fat, fast foods etc. Stay physically active. Regular exercise improves insulin sensitivity and helps manage blood sugar levels. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity per week.
